Summer Make-up Favorites
When wearing make-up on hot Summer days I like to keep it as light and natural as possible. Below I listed a few of my make-up favorites for the hottest season of the year.
Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation: The past years I had the chance to try a lot of different foundations, compact powders and cushions. But the only one, which really convinced me is Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation. The coverage is light, but neverthless it coveres little skin imperfections and ends up in a perfect matte finish.
Urban Decay Beached Bronzer: To give my skin a summery tanned look I use the Urban Decay Beached Bronzer. It immediately gives me a sun-kissed look and add definition and warmth to my skin.
L’Oréal Paris Life’s a Beach Blush: A sweet-as-a-peach blusher for a warm flush of colour. This peach scented blush is the perfect shade of bronzy-peach that adds a pop of warmth to any complexion.
L’Oréal Paris Glow Mon Amour Drops: The glow of these drops is so, so beautiful. Find below four different ways of usage:
- They can be used alone as highlighter: I dab a small amount onto my fingertips and gently tap it onto the top of my cheekbones, down the centre of my nose, under my brow-bone and over my cupid’s bow.
- For a natural no-make-up look I apply them under my foundation. Placing a couple of drops on the cheeks and on my forehead and blend them out for a luminous finish.
- Sometimes I also mix them directly with the foundation to create a subtle illumination of the face.
- Especially in the evening I love to mix them in my bodylotion for a shimmery glow all over the body.
L’Oréal La Vie en Glow Highlighting Powder Palette: The palette comes in two differente shades: one is for lighter skin tone ‘Cool Glow“ and the other is for medium skin tone ‘Warm Glow’. I was pretty impressed about how pigmented the shades are and how easy they are to apply and to blend out. Something I really appreciate about the package (and don’t laugh at me, I’m not a Beautyblogger haha) are the illustrations on the backside of how to use which shade. So helpful, especially when you are not quite used to highlighting palettes.
Helena Rubinstein Lash Queen Mascara: My current favorite Mascara. The big brush makes the difference when it comes to volume and length. It holds well and is super easy to apply.
YSL Rouge Pur Couture Le Nu 70: It’s no secret that the Rouge Pur Couture lipsticks from YSL are my absolutely favorites. I continue to buy them in all colors haha. The Le Nu 70 from YSL is my daily companion in Summer.
